Our new Web Developer will join the Learning Technology and Ecosystem Worsktream of the Digital Education Office (DEO) in the Faculty of Medicine. In line with our Digital Education Strategy, the DEO is dedicated to supporting the ambitions of the Faculty in its continued provision of world-class digital education. Our work is underpinned by the University’s Learning and Teaching Strategy, which supports the development and evaluation of innovative, evidence-based teaching and learning methods across the institution.
Duties and responsibilities:
Explore the vast potential of PHP and grasp the fundamentals of object-oriented programming (OOP) to delve deeper into the world of WordPress development. Additionally, harness skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript to bring web site visions to life, ensuring a user-friendly and visually appealing experience.
Tackle web site development hurdles with confidence and assist with web site maintenance and troubleshooting, identifying and resolving technical issues efficiently to maintain optimal site performance.
Adopt the dynamic nature of WordPress; continuously expanding knowledge by staying abreast of the latest trends and best practices in WordPress development, ensuring the latest tools and techniques are within reach.

This is a full-time, open ended role based at South Kensington Campus.
The College is currently trialling a Work Location Framework until early 2023. Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the role holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
