We are looking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced Midwife to join the well-established team of midwifery lecturers in the South West of England. You will contribute to teaching excellence related to midwifery care and contribute to the academic and clinical development of Midwifery at the University. This will include the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare programmes. You will also be encouraged to contribute to research within the School and join an appropriate research group.
We offer 3 programmes delivered as both campus based and blended learning options. We offer MSc, BSc and a shortened MSc for registered nurses who wish to become midwives. Research in the School was rated highly in the REF2021 and continues to grow. The University of Plymouth Clinical Schools initiative is an exciting development, through which applied nursing and midwifery research focuses on topics that are timely and relevant to advancing the quality of care.
You should possess appropriate professional qualifications, registration as a midwife with the NMC is essential, relevant post registration experience as a midwife, a Degree in health or a related subject, relevant postgraduate qualifications and a teaching qualification (or be willing to work to achieve this).

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week, however, we are open to applicants who wish to apply in a part-time capacity. You will be based at the main campus on the University of Plymouth site and may be required to travel to our clinical placements.
There is an essential requirement within this role that you will be required to travel to and work at different University sites and/or other business locations that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Please refer to the job description for further information.
