SBI activities cover a range of income generating initiatives and also support wider entrepreneurial activity and external engagement between business, staff, and students.
The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for supporting the Head of Knowledge Exchange and Innovation and the Associate Deans for Research and Innovation to identify opportunities in CPD and Professional Education to meet challenging income targets across the University through the development of our offer of open and bespoke short courses for professionals and as continuing education for both individuals and workforce development. We will rely on you to support the strategic and operational development of short course systems across the University, and to enhance the university’s reputation.

About You:
The successful candidate will have a track record of delivering growth in the CPD and Professional Education market with experience in the Health sector; knowledge of Greenskills and Digital sectors will also be considered. You will have a deep understanding of the market and how LSBU can leverage the opportunities.
The role involves the identification of opportunities for courses tailored to both individuals, delegate sales, and corporate/group sales, the latter including the sale of our tailored platform for hosting and managing internal short course requirements. You will have experience of identifying opportunities, managing client relationships, identifying resources to deliver, and writing and supporting the development of proposals including financial business planning. You will have strong organisation and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally. You will need to work with colleagues across the LSBU Group to ensure optimisation of identified opportunities.
