Turning Passion into Purpose. London South Bank University are excited to be recruiting for the post of Research Fellow working on a study funded by the NIHR Research for Patient Benefit (RfPB) programme and sponsored by Central London Community Health NHS Trust. The study, led by a team based at LSBU, aims to investigate the health and wellbeing of informal (unpaid) carers supporting patients in Hospital at Home (HaH) services.
Using a mixed-methods approach, the 18-month study will gather and analyse both quantitative survey data and qualitative interviews.
This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to join a high-impact, NIHR-funded study focused on the experiences of informal carers supporting patients receiving Hospital at Home services. The successful candidate will contribute to meaningful, applied health research with real-world implications for community care. They will have the chance to develop and apply qualitative and quantitative research skills, strengthen their expertise in ethics submissions and research coordination, and work collaboratively with leading NHS and academic partners across London and the Southeast.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant discipline such as public health, health psychology, or life sciences. They will be highly motivated and bring a flexible, organised approach to managing complex research activities. Experience with NHS services, informal caregiving contexts, and academic publication is also highly desirable.
