SALARY DETAILS: UP TO £60,000 PER ANNUM (DEPENDANT ON EXPERIENCE), PLUS BENEFITS
We are now seeking to appoint a Head of Department to lead the Department of Liberal Arts, who will be responsible for planning and successfully implementing the provision of high quality courses and an excellent student experience within the department and serve as academic lead for collaborative provision in accordance with the University’s objectives as outlined in its Strategic Plan.
The Head of Department of Liberal Arts will oversee the provision of Applied Liberal Arts, Academic Literacies, Foundation level courses, and manage and facilitate programmes under collaborative provision. The Head of Department will report to the Deputy Provost for Faculty.
Our new Head of the Department of Liberal Arts will hold a doctoral degree and will have a demonstratable commitment to Liberal Arts education and to the research, teaching and service dimensions of Richmond’s mission as a University.
It is desirable that the successful candidate has experience in successful line management and implementing organisational procedures relating to people; and in developing, overseeing and managing academic partnerships.
