The University Facilities Team manages and maintains buildings across the estate, ensuring safe, welcoming spaces that support teaching, research, and learning. About the Role

As a Senior Facilities Support Supervisor, you will play a key supervisory role in ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the Schwarzman Centre for Humanities or other buildings on the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter site.

Your responsibilities will include scheduling tasks, liaising with contractors, responding to maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures. You will also support the setup of lectures and events, including furniture arrangements, AV setup, and hospitality delivery.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong organisation, clear communication, and a proactive approach. You’ll play a key part in creating a professional and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

About You

  • Experience supervising staff and working in a facilities or operations environment
  • Strong organisational skills and a solution-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Good IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems and tools
  • A positive attitude and commitment to high standards of safety and service

Sponsorship and Right to Work

This role does not meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa under the UK Visa & Immigration points-based system. We are therefore unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
