The University of Lincoln is seeking a post-doctoral research associate to join a 3-year Leverhulme Trust funded project investigating the development of oculomotor control in children. This exciting multi-disciplinary project aims to investigate how brain centres underlying eye fixation control develop in children and how this impacts on their ability to perform tasks such as visual search and reading. The project involves conducting “real world” gaze tracking in primary school classrooms, laboratory based event related potential experiments and eye tracking studies at the Lincoln Summer Scientist public engagement and participation event.

You will have completed a PhD in psychology / cognitive neuroscience and have experience of conducting eye tracking (Tobii / Eyelink) and / or EEG / ERP research studies, including experiment programming, data collection, statistical analysis and dissemination of research findings via conference presentations and publications. Previous experience of working with primary school aged children would be highly desirable.
