The Centre for Health Economics & Policy Innovation (CHEPI) at Imperial College London is seeking a Research Associate in Health Policy / Economics Modelling to contribute to its growing programme of work on fiscal and regulatory measures for NCD prevention, particularly through JA Prevent NCD, a major European Commission-funded Joint Action. What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to CHEPI’s programme of work on fiscal and regulatory policy design and evaluation.
  • Develop and enhance modelling tools such as Health-GPS to assess the impact of policies related to tobacco, alcohol, unhealthy food, and environmental risk factors.
  • Co-design and analyse policy scenarios in collaboration with international partners.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for policymakers and stakeholders.
  • Participate in knowledge exchange and capacity-building activities across Europe

What We’re Looking For

We need a curious, driven, and analytical researcher who thrives in a dynamic setting. Ideal candidates will have:

  • A PhD (or near completion) in health economics, epidemiology, public health, data science, or a related field.
  • Experience in microsimulation modelling or similar computational approaches.
  • A solid understanding of public health policy and fiscal frameworks.

Why Join Us?

  • Impactful Work – Your research will inform real policy decisions improving population health.
  • International Collaboration – Join pan-European projects and work with top institutions and policy actors.
  • Professional Growth – Gain experience at the forefront of interdisciplinary policy research.
