Applications are invited for a Research Governance and Ethics Coordinator to assist with a wide range of tasks to ensure that governance and ethics standards are maintained across the Early Cancer Institute (ECI) and the wider University of Cambridge Oncology Department.
About the role:
Based within the Early Cancer Institute on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, the appointee will work closely with all PIs within the ECI, plus the main operations team, to ensure that the work carried out at the ECI is compliant with Data Protection Act, Human Tissue Authority (HTA) and Biosafety Audits, and that studies are undertaken in accordance within the boundaries of ethical and R&D approvals and in accordance with statutory requirements and principles of Good Clinical Practice and GDPR.
The main responsibilities of the role will be human tissue sample and data management and audits, research ethics, biosafety, managing applications for and access to data from national bodies, and training ECI and Oncology department staff in these areas.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2027 in the first instance.
