Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge, seeks to appoint a College Teaching Officer in Economics. The post will be tenable from no later than 1 October 2025 for a fixed period of three years and will be 50% full time equivalent. Remuneration will be at Point 49 on the University of Cambridge’s salary scale (currently £23,368 pro rata). The successful candidate will be elected to an Official Fellowship of the College
Applications are encouraged from candidates specialising in any field of economics, but the post-holder must be able to teach two or more undergraduate papers in microeconomics, macroeconomics or econometrics of the Economics Tripos. The post-holder will deliver six hours of small-group teaching (‘supervisions’) for the twenty teaching weeks of the academic year. They will also serve as Director of Studies, for which they will be separately remunerated.
