The School of Policy and Global Affairs is an excellent international centre of research and learning on the human condition. It is home to over 2,500 students and 100 staff across three departments: Economics, Sociology and Criminology, and International Politics.

Responsibilities
The post sits within the Quality & Student Experience team, which is responsible for programme quality assurance and student experience processes in the School. The purpose of the role is to assist the Quality & Student Experience Manager with managing the quality processes within the School and also line managing a Quality Administrator. The postholder will be a point of expertise on quality matters within the School.
The appointed Quality Officer will manage staff and quality processes such as programme development, approval, amendment, periodic reviews, appeals, complaints, academic integrity and extenuating circumstances.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have experience of administering quality assurance and operational processes, ideally within a higher education setting, and of supervising staff. They will have the ability to communicate with staff and students, and to exercise confidentiality, tact and diplomacy. They should have experience of implementing and improving processes in a similar administrative role. They should be able to plan and prioritise their own workload, whilst being able to work to a high level of accuracy.
