We are pleased to share details of an opportunity for an experienced IT Operations Analyst to join our dedicated IT Operations team in Digital & Technology Services.
As an IT Operations Analyst, you will work alongside an established IT Operations team, on- premise and cloud based services for our UK, China and Malaysia campuses. You will work within the Enterprise Operations Team to maintain availability and quality of central systems and services for the university. This includes monitoring central IT systems and services and 2nd/3rd line support in the event of systems failing in order to being them back online as soon as possible.
You will work closely with colleagues in the Enterprise Operations Team to support both maintenance and change activities across the Windows Server technology suite, as well as assisting in the management and maintenance of the backup and restore environment. You will have the opportunity to develop your experience around a number of technology stacks in a dynamic and busy environment.
Your will have experience in delivering and/or supporting IT services within a multi-technology network environment. You will have experience in the management and maintenance of backup and restore technologies, specifically VEEAM. Ideally, you will have a grounding in Windows Server technology, including Active Directory administration and Azure/EntraID/Microsoft 365 with a desire to expand and supplement your knowledge and skills across a range of platforms.
As the successful candidate, you will ideally have a degree/professional qualification or equivalent relevant experience with experience of working in a structured IT environment, excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
The post is offered on a permanent contract. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).
