We have a long-term commitment to providing high-quality learning, teaching, and research. We achieve this through partnerships with many local schools, colleges and other organisations.
We offer a range of programmes in Initial Teacher Education, Childhood, Education, and Professional Development. Our undergraduate and postgraduate Early Years and Primary programmes are long-established with excellent outcomes and feedback from students. Within the school, we also have a suite of online programmes, international programmes and are developing new programmes across the field of education.
This role will be based primarily in the Initial Teacher Education team. You’ll be planning and preparing teaching and you will work with experienced colleagues to prepare, deliver, and assess modules across the undergraduate and postgraduate education programmes.
You can enthuse and motivate students, be flexible in your approach, have excellent interpersonal and mentoring/coaching skills, be highly organised, able to manage a varied and challenging workload and take a collaborative approach to your work.
Ideally you have primary classroom experience and experience in teaching and/or supporting trainee teachers.
As part of your role, you will be required to support trainees on school experience and therefore a working knowledge of the DfE Teachers’ Standards and Qualified Teachers Status (QTS) are essential requirements for the post.
