Applications are invited to apply for the above role to provide daily housekeeping support within prep rooms and labs across the School of Life Sciences.
The successful candidate will work in a team across the school, they will support with the operation of autoclaves, automated dishwashers and other machinery, working to support laboratory staff to enable a safe and effective operation of activities. We are seeking candidates with good communication skills who must be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to work to achieve set deadline and high standards, whilst working effectively under pressure. Candidates will have multiple tasks to complete and must demonstrate good time management skills.

The role holder will have a good standard of education, evidenced by GCSEs or equivalent qualification demonstrating numeracy and literacy or equivalent experience working in same/similar role. Previous experience in a laboratory environment would be desirable but not essential.
Please note that candidates must be able to lift and move objects as this role will involve transporting glassware, waste, and consumables regularly throughout the day.
It is essential for this role, that the candidate holds a full manual UK driving licence.
The post is offered on a permanent, part-time contract (28 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
