Applications are invited to apply for an IT/AV Technician post based in the Department of Physics, University of Oxford.

The post is based on site within the Physics Department IT group and includes support of a wide range of activities in the areas of audio-visual and IT. The primary function of the role is to ensure that systems within the lecture theatres and other meetings rooms are working properly and that users are assisted when problems emerge. This is critical work on which all physics teaching relies. Research is also supported as rooms are used for international conferences and the smooth running of such events is essential to maintain the department’s reputation.
 
A proven and thorough understanding of AV equipment and experience with a wide range of AV equipment including data projectors, microphones, audio systems, videoconferencing are essential for this post. Experience of working within an academic environment would be desirable.
