We are looking for a Project Manager to coordinate the EPSRC-funded Network “Integrating data-driven BIOphysical models into REspiratory MEdicine” (BIOREME).

As the BIOREME Project Manager you will:

  • Organise planned project activities such as workshops, sandpits and study groups
  • Promote the Network via promotion campaigns, newsletters and maintenance of a dedicated website
  • Liaise with project partners, the steering committee and international advisory board
  • Coordinate internal funding calls, referee processes and distribution of award
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with industry and other end-users
  • Organise outreach and engagement with the wider public
  • Capture outcomes and impact of project initiatives
  • Support the Principal Investigator in the day-to-day running of the project 

You will have 

  • Excellent organisational, budget-management, IT, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. 
  • The ability to work independently in response to differing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to extract key points from complex or large amounts of information.
  • Experience of managing projects or teams and/or similar track record of managing own work/team. 
  • Experience of two or more of
    • budget allocation
    • event planning
    • supporting grant/proposal writing
    • project promotion
    • developing partnerships/collaborations
  • Experience in networking, actively engaging with, and valuing, other areas and diverse groups.
  • A degree (2:1 or higher) or equivalent And/Or a track record of relevant professional experience, e.g. in project management. 

This fixed-term, full-time position is for 36.25 hours per week and will be available from 14th April 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter) until 31 December 2025. Part time hours will be considered minimum 29 hours.  Dependent on funding, a contract extension to 31st March 2026 is a possibility. 

Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
