About us
We’re at an interesting point in our history here at UCL. We’ve expanded rapidly, and our new strategic planning process is focussed on building on achievements and opportunities from growth while also addressing some of the challenges.
The UCL Strategic Plan 2022-2027 outlines a vision for a ‘futures focussed’ UCL education that is ambitious and distinctive. One of the aims is to bring together teaching, assessment and employability to support student futures. To that end, the new ‘UCL Higher Education Development & Support Institute’ (HEDS) has been established.
About the role
In this job you’ll be part of the Student Partnerships Team, which sits within the Development & Planning team in the HEDS Institute. It’s an exciting and varied role where you’ll manage the operational delivery of key UCL student partnership initiatives, most notably the ChangeMakers programme. You’ll provide comprehensive programme management support for these activities, including financial management, robust data collection, evaluation and dissemination.
You’ll ensure a quality student experience through the development of inclusive practices, and work with other team members to maintain UCL’s position as a leader in sector for student partnerships, promoting partnership working inside and outside of UCL. You’ll also support the Head of Student Partnerships in the design and rollout of further partnership initiatives.
A full list of responsibilities can be found on the attached job description.
About you
To do this job you’ll need the ability to provide effective leadership and project guidance for student-staff partnership projects. This entails experience of working successfully with students as colleagues and equal partners. Please ensure you demonstrate this experience clearly on your application.
You’ll be experienced in project management and evaluation of projects, in working with academic and professional services staff, and in developing and managing a variety of events (training, workshops, showcases, conferences). You’ll have strong IT skills and be able to use a variety of IT systems (for example web content management system, Moodle, MS Teams.)
Please review the job description, paying particular attention to the essential and desirable criteria, and ensure these are covered in your application.
