This role involves collaboration with top research institutes and industry leaders, contributing to an EU-funded initiative focused on developing sub-THz/THz reconfigurable metasurfaces for next-generation wireless communication. Specifically, the position requires expertise and hands-on experience in array antenna design, fabrication, and characterisation.
You will contribute to the preparation of proposals and applications for funding to external bodies, such as the European Commission and the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). This Research Fellow in Reconfigurable Metasurface for 6G role will create opportunities to maximise research activities, capturing relevant evidence to support impact and engaging with external partners and stakeholders.

You will need research experience in the subject area including, as appropriate, collaborative partnerships with other HEI’s or external partners.
You will have knowledge of calibration techniques and practical experience in vector network analysers, signal generators, and spectrum analysers with specialist theoretical and practical knowledge of discrete microwave components.
Working effectively in a team and having a can-do attitude to problem solving is essential, along with being able to deal with sensitive material with strict confidentiality.
Qualifications required
Educated with an Honours Degree (or equivalent qualification) or Masters qualification (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline
