The London Center for The College of Global Studies is seeking to appoint an Adjunct Lecturer for a course commencing early September 2025: FIN 470 Seminar in Alternative Investments.
Approximately 150 - 200 US students participate each year on Arcadia’s Programmes through the London Center, taking a range of humanities, social sciences and business subjects. The adjunct lecturer reports to the Associate Director of Academic Affairs.
This 400-level course provides an in-depth examination of alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, commodities, and structured products. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the characteristics, strategies, valuation methods, risks, and performance evaluation techniques associated with alternative investments. Emphasis will be placed on critical analysis, case studies, and practical applications to real-world investment scenarios.
The course will be taught in a three-hour session once per week over 12 teaching weeks with a mid semester reading week at the Arcadia London Center in Holborn. Specific hours to be confirmed with the appointed lecturer; flexibility around scheduling is required.
