Background
Within the combined institution, the School of Communication and Creativity (SCC) brings together our renowned Department of Journalism with two new Departments of Media, Culture and Creative Industries, and Performing Arts. The School aims to support and develop the next generation of practitioners to work across the cultural, creative and media sectors.
This role supports the implementation of initiatives to improve student experience in the school, while also being responsible for overseeing the School’s compliance with visa legislation and student academic engagement policies.

Person Specification
You will have experience of working in higher education, ideally in a student-facing role, and you will have an understanding of the key challenges in student experience facing the sector. A good understanding of sponsored student visa regulations is also required, with previous experience of attendance monitoring being an advantage.
