About us

Midlands4Cities (M4C) Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) is an Arts and Humanities Research Council funded (AHRC) consortium of eight Midlands Universities, we are recruiting a Placements, Partnerships and Engagement Manager. The Midlands4Cities team support the DTP programme for four hundred Arts and Humanities PhD researchers across the consortium and are based within the Researcher Academy at the University of Nottingham.

The Role

You will join a small team to work proactively with PhD researchers, academic colleagues and regional and national organisations in the creative and cultural industries. The purpose of the role is to work with M4C researchers and partner organisations to identify placement opportunities which support researcher professional development and partnership working. Demonstrating the value of placement and partnership working via reports, the M4C website and other media outlets is also an important part of the role.

You will bring

You will be expected to have excellent placement management and project monitoring skills to deliver placement opportunities which enhance student research. You will take an active part in promoting the outcomes of placement activity and partnership working via a portfolio of case studies and reports. Along with significant organisational experience with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail, you should be flexible, innovative and have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You should be able to work independently while connecting to the work and delivery of the wider Doctoral Training Partnership.

This is a full time (36.25 hours per week) contract until 30 September 2028.
