An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Development Executive to join us on a fixed term basis until April 2026
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to join the fundraising team for all of the University’s Gardens, Libraries and Museums, focussing primarily on the Ashmolean Museum. Oxford University's collections, comprising over 21 million objects, specimens and printed items, constitute one of the largest and most important research repositories in the world and provide an outstanding resource for scholars, students and members of the public, welcoming over 3 million visitors each year.
About the Role
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced fundraiser in the cultural sector with an impressive track record in securing major gifts at the six and seven figure level, and with a creative approach to development. You will be confident in building your own pipeline of prospects, while working with colleagues and curators to develop attractive funding opportunities.
We are looking for someone with experience in fundraising from a range of sources, individuals, trusts and corporates, with connections in the cultural sector. You will be confident in dealing with a wide range of senior people in the museums and in the wider community of Oxford donors. This role is part of the Gardens, Libraries and Museums fundraising team as well as of the wider Development and Alumni and Engagement group, so you will be used to collaborating with a broad community and to working in a complex environment.
