About the Role

As a Joiner, you’ll work both in our dedicated workshop at The Malthouse and on-site across the University’s estate. You'll craft, repair, and install high-quality joinery, using both traditional hand tools and modern machinery.

This is a hands-on role where you will work both independently and collaboratively, liaising with building managers, Estates Services colleagues, and external contractors to deliver outstanding results. You will also ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements while maintaining a safe and professional working environment.

About You

  • NVQ Level 3 in Joinery or significant experience in carpentry.
  • Strong skills in woodwork, furniture making, and repairs.
  • Ability to work professionally, independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using both hand tools and machinery.
