- THE ROLE -
The post holder will support Ulster University/Studio Ulster in delivering the Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I) programme for the CoSTAR Screen Lab. CoSTAR is a UKRI-funded £75.6m program and the Screen Lab is a specially designed 6,500 ft2 space equipped with LED, Motion Capture and 4D Scanning technologies, located at the heart of the new Studio Ulster facility in Belfast Harbour Studios.
The post holder will support research and development activity working in teams with academic researchers and with industry. They will have a critical role to play in the development and rapid adoption of technologies and processes in virtual production in the screen industries in Northern Ireland, and will be intrinsically involved in the design and delivery of virtual production training courses in support of staff, students and continuing professional development with industry, working closely with the Director and Co-Directors of the Screen Lab and wider Studio Ulster and AHSS structures.
- ABOUT YOU -
The postholder will be required to have:
- A degree in a related discipline.
- Significant experience of real-time visual effects and/or real-time pipelines/virtual production.
- Demonstrable experience of Unreal Engine professionally in industry or in a structured training and skills development environment.
