- THE ROLE -
The postholder will work on the EPIC Futures Northern Ireland (NI) Project. EPIC Futures NI is a £4.8million Local Policy Partnership (LPIP) hub, led by Ulster University and funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), and Innovate UK and the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). The post holder will join a team which involves academics and external actors from policy, industry and community representatives.
This role will involve exploring literature and conducting empirical research focused on understanding place-based policies, interventions and tools which can aid employability and skills. The candidate will be expected to write up reports and academic research papers, and present findings to stakeholders.
We may create a 12-month waiting list for the same or similar roles within the Department / Faculty. The University reserves the right to extend the waiting list across the University if required for certain posts.
- ABOUT YOU -
The postholder will be required to have:
- A PhD (or near completion, i.e. thesis submitted) in one of the following areas: business management, economics, behavioural science, management, psychology, public policy, sociology, regional studies, or related fields.
- Experience of working in a research environment involving the use of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Practical experience of qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis using a range of packages (e.g. SPSS, NVivo).
