The School of Computer Science is seeking to appoint two University Teachers. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related subject. You will have experience delivering high-quality teaching, ideally in Higher Education, and will be familiar with strategies that promote learning in an inclusive and supportive environment. A demonstrable ability to engage and inspire students is essential, along with excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

You will join our established Teaching Specialist team in the School of Computer Science, led by our Director of Education, Prof Emma Norling. The team includes Senior University Teachers, University Teachers, Teaching Associates, Research & Teaching Assistants, and Teaching Assistants. Known for high-quality teaching, assessment, and feedback, our Teaching Specialist team provides an excellent student experience. You will receive guidance and support to develop your teaching skills and contribute to maintaining and enhancing the School’s reputation for innovative and impactful teaching. Your role will involve teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The School offers three-year and four-year undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence. We pride ourselves on innovative teaching methods, including enterprise-focused and problem-based learning. Additionally, we offer several masters programmes, including an MSc in Advanced Computer Science.
