About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Operations Officer to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the seamless delivery of services aligned with university, Faculty, and Department policies.
You will manage the research grant process, maintain strong relationships with academics, researchers, and various departments, all while demonstrating professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. This position offers a dynamic range of experiences in research administration, with fantastic opportunities for career progression within the University.
The post holder will be highly numerate and able to interpret as well as communicate guidance and figures to a wide range of audiences. They will work in close collaboration with the departmental Professional Services team and other members of the Research Operations function across the Faculty, managing a significant number of grants and will be expected to familiarise themselves with the requirements and practices of different funders.
Ability to prioritise duties is essential as time-sensitive issues are not uncommon and likely to lead to material impact on the Department or the University.
