About the role

We are looking to appoint a Research Assistant to work across two projects within the King’s Centre for Military Health Research:
  1. a project using quantitative survey data exploring relationships and family circumstances, help-seeking, gambling and intimate partner violence and abuse.  Data from an epidemiological cohort study of the mental health and well-being of serving and ex-serving UK Armed Forces personnel led by the King’s Centre for Military Health Research.
  1. a research project in collaboration with Rutger’s University (USA) which contains two components A) a systematic review exploring the health, social and occupational experiences of women in traditionally masculine workplaces, and B) to assist with the development of a Patient and Public Engagement and Involvement (PPIE) group to understand the experiences of racial and ethnically minoritised women from Armed Forces communities.
The post holder will co-lead data analyses and write up of findings for scientific publications and a funder report. They will support with presentations at regular meetings with the funder, during PPIE workshops and at internal/external meetings, seminars and conferences. The post holder will report to the Post Doctoral Research Associate and Chief of Staff.
 
This post will be offered on an 18month fixed term contract and is a full-time post – 100%full time equivalent. We would be willing to consider a reduced FTE (80%FTE).
 
The post holder will be based at the Denmark Hill campus with the opportunity to work remotely for part of the week.
