£24,290 - £27,650 per annum (pro-rata, depending on experience)

Part-time, 21 hours per week (Monday – Friday, flexible working available)

The Corporate and Professional Services departments are the cornerstone of the University.  They each provide essential and valuable support to both each other and the Academic departments, helping the University to function in the most efficient and productive way, ensuring that the students’ experience is second to none.

Are you detail-oriented, organised, and looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a Finance Administrator for Apprenticeships to join our Apprenticeship Hub team. This pivotal part-time role is essential to support the financial management of our growing apprenticeship programmes, ensuring compliance with ESFA (Education and Skills Funding Agency) funding rules and providing excellent support to Faculties/Departments and employers.

In this role, you will:

  • Process funding claims, and employer contributions accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and monitor financial records, including the Digital Apprenticeship Service Account, to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and employers, to ensure smooth financial workflows and accurate data.
  • Generate and analyse financial reports, contributing to informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Support the implementation of paperless processes and automation, aligning with the University's sustainability goals.
