Annual Leave: 35 days pro rata plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: College Lane, Hatfield 

Main duties and responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for teaching and research in the field of dietetics, across programmes. They will contribute to the design and delivery of learning and teaching materials (including examinations). The post holder will co-ordinate and support the development of modules in degree programmes and undertake the role of module lead whilst liaising with programme and Year tutors and those in other Subject Groups. You will develop research opportunities and scholarly activity in the field of dietetics and support students as a personal tutor and project supervisor.

Skills and experience required

Relevant teaching and research experience, including contributing to successful research grant awards and/or publications are desirable but not essential. 

It is essential that the postholder will have an understanding of students’ prior learning experiences and how these might influence their current educational expectations and the ability to deal with conflicting demands and priorities. Possessing the potential and willingness to attract external funding and cultural awareness are desirable for this role. Whereas, proficiency in English Language, ability to plan and manage own activities effectively along with relevant IT Skills is essential.

Qualifications required

The post holder will have a minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in relevant discipline, or equivalent experience and must be registered as member of the relevant Dietician regulatory/professional body.
