Applications are invited for a Senior Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Weather & Climate Impacts on Health
The aim of the project is to develop an innovative framework for health impact attribution that is accessible to all, applicable across different regions and geographical scales, and is well placed to inform climate-resilient adaptation strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for AOPP’s contribution to a Wellcome Trust funded interdisciplinary research project on environmental attribution and health equity.
Applicants should hold a PhD in weather and climate dynamics or related fields. Experience with post-qualification research and strong publication records would be essential as well as sufficient specialist knowledge in the areas of quantifying climate risks and extreme event attribution to develop research projects and methodologies.
The post is full time and fixed term until 29 February 2028 with possibility of extension.
