The Registry provides a range of services to students and staff. This post is to lead, develop and implement compliance provision in Imperial. The post holder will be required to have authoritative knowledge and understanding of UK immigration legislation in relation to higher education and therefore have the specific expertise to advise and influence strategic decision-making across the University on Tier 4 compliance requirements. You will have excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills and be able to act with authority and discretion. You will have excellent planning and organisational skills. You will have the ability to work under pressure, taking a methodical approach with an excellent eye for detail as well as the ability to think strategically. The role is a maternity leave with a fixed term duration.
What you would be doing
You will be taking the lead in ensuring that the university is fully compliant and meeting its duties obligations to the Home Office. You will be expected to liaise with colleagues at all levels in the university, to ensure that they are kept up-to-date of Home Office changes regarding Tier 4 and to make recommendations as required. You will have line management responsibility for the Visa Compliance Officers, including appropriate training and professional development.
