We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join the University as a Home Admissions Administrator to join our friendly team in Marketing and Communications. The Home Admissions team sits within Student Marketing and Communications and manage the application process for Home Undergraduate, Postgraduate and College prospective students working with academic schools of the University and our Consortium colleges. We are looking for the type of person who wants to make a difference to our applicant’s admissions journey into higher education.
Main duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for processing applications for undergraduate, postgraduate and college prospective students, working with the seven academic schools of the University and our Consortium colleges. You will make decisions in consultation with other colleagues, and you will answer queries and provide information and guidance to a range of stakeholders in all aspects of the admissions process.
For our team to operate effectively, team working is an essential part of the post. As such, the post holder will be expected to work closely with the team leader and deputies in addition to other colleagues.
Skill and experience required
It is essential for you to have excellent organisational and IT skills. Proven experience of managing priorities and working to strict deadlines is essential. You will also be a good communicator, with the ability to pay attention to detail and you will be committed to providing a high-quality service.
You will be able to learn, understand and follow complex policies, procedures and processes. You will also be keen to collaborate and improve processes to increase applicant experience.
Qualifications required
You will hold a minimum of five GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent level qualification, or proven work experience. A-level, degree or a higher qualification would be advantageous.
