Annual Leave: 25 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: College Lane Campus, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield
The role is based within the School of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. The School incorporates several well-established multidisciplinary research centres with researchers from diverse backgrounds including nursing, pharmacy, public health, social sciences, social work, and mental health. The post holder will provide coordination to enhance the research environment across the School.
We will consider applications to work on a part-time or job share basis wherever possible.
Main duties and responsibilities
The research coordinator works closely with the Associate Dean(s) for Research and Enterprise (ADRE) to provide high level support and coordination of researcher and research environment activity across the School. This includes the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives at School level and for future Research Excellence Framework (REF) submissions with other University colleagues. The post holder will work in liaison with School and intra-School stakeholders, to develop training and development activities and a programme of work to sustain and improve a high-quality research environment.
Skills and experience required
You must have experience of generating, analysing, and reporting on data and working in a highly organised manner. You will be used to working autonomously but also flexibly as part of a team and, preferably, have experience of working in a Higher Education environment. You must have good oral and written communications skills in both spoken and written English.
Qualifications required
The successful candidate will be educated with a minimum of an undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification), or substantial proven, relevant work experience.
