Job Description
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Student Success Officer (Student Information) who will play a crucial role in ensuring a high-quality student experience by providing a professional, responsive, and supportive service to students. This role combines frontline student engagement with a strategic focus on student success, retention, and welfare. (This post will be working every Saturday, with a day off in lieu in the week. Primary work location will be London, with potential work at other university sites as required)
About the Role
Within the role, you will support students in accessing the information and services they need while maintaining accurate student records and collaborating with key teams to enhance student support initiatives. Student and Registry Services operate a shared administrative service, whereby staff can be asked to perform duties across various teams. While primarily focused on student information and success, the role may require contributions to broader student support activities. This role will be based in London, ensuring that student support and information services are tailored to the needs of students studying at the university’s London campuses.
About You
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to engage effectively with students from diverse backgrounds. You will have strong customer service abilities, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism when providing advice and support. As well as possessing a high level of accuracy, you will pay strong attention to detail in record-keeping, along with the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. A proactive and solution-focused mindset is essential, as well as the capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, and confidence in handling challenging situations with diplomacy. Familiarity with student support services, university systems, and policies related to wellbeing and academic success would be advantageous.
