About the role
We are seeking a Research Associate to join our exciting EPSRC funded BioMed 4.0: Manufacturing in Hospital project that will develop new automated smart systems for additive manufacturing.
This multidisciplinary project involves Robotics, Machine Learning, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Sensing and Control, and runs across departments in the Faculty of Engineering and Design. You will be based within the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering and work closely with other team members in the Department of Chemical Engineering.
We are seeking an individual to develop, design and build an intelligent and hybrid printing system capable of combining manufacturing approaches such as fuse filament fabrication and electronspinning technology for the fabrication of components such as scaffolds and sensors.
This position is full time, with an expected end date of 31st August 2025.
