An exciting opportunity has arisen within Research Services at the University of Oxford for an experienced HR and Finance Specialist. The role sits within the Administration and Finance team, providing cross cutting HR administration and finance support to ensure the effective running of the department.

About the Role
The HR and Finance Specialist will lead on operational day to day tasks in a supervisory position for the A&F team. You will ensure a smooth and effective service, with a particular focus on recruitment, HR administration, and transactional finance management. Reporting to the Head of Administration and Finance, you will work collaboratively with colleagues from Central Finance and HR to provide expert advice and guidance on matters such as recruitment and onboarding, payroll management, purchasing, reporting and budgeting monitoring.
About You
You will bring significant experience to the role, building on established skills in HR administration and finance. You will be a highly effective communicator, able to build positive relationships with and provide advice to colleagues within and outside of the department. You will need strong analytical and writing skills and be fully at ease with using databases, spreadsheets and other electronic systems in order to manage your workload.
