The Faraday Institution has funded a research consortium on ‘Next generation lithium-ion cathode materials (CATMAT)’ led by Professor Saiful Islam as PI (Materials, University of Oxford) and Dr Ben Morgan as PL (Chemistry, University of Bath). The multidisciplinary team also includes research groups at University College London, and the Universities of Birmingham, Cambridge, and Liverpool.

They will also need to work closely with the Co-Investigators (Co-Is) and the Faraday Institution Programme Manager to ensure clear communication and alignment of research objectives. The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of projects’ budgets, including resource planning and review, liaising with project partners (Co-Is) to ensure timely financial and performance reporting. The post-holder will provide guidance as to requirements from the funders and ensuring that the outcomes are delivered on time, as well as being a key contact with the Faraday Institution, leading on grant reporting both internally and externally.
Previous experience in project management of research grants is desirable. This full-time position is available immediately and is fixed-term until 30 September 2025. We will also consider a 0.5 FTE part-time position.
