The University of Cambridge will commission a public artwork, for an outside space within Cambridge University's grounds, to celebrate the role of Black scholars and their contribution to the life, history and future, of the University and wider society.

The role is responsible for carrying out administration and documentation of the project including working with museum colleagues to coordinate the artist selection (create application packs), convening a selection committee, managing commissioning, contracting and production, secure permissions and rights.

We are seeking an individual who has excellent interpersonal skills and are commitment to and ability to work to principles of anti-racist practice with a strong understanding of EDI and inclusion. They will have an interest in contemporary art and related practice while also having a knowledge of museum practice, and the requirements of collections, research, and historic buildings. The role will be suited to an individual who has experience of the processes involved in commissioning public art and have a demonstratable track record of producing with artists and curators.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 15 months in the first instance.
