Salary: £34,866 to £46,485 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Trial Manager within School of Medicine, Mental Health & Clinical Neurosciences. You will be based at the Queen's Medical Centre Campus and will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team undertaking many multi-centre UK and international stroke trials.
You will support the Chief Investigator and Senior Clinical Trial Manager with HR, staffing (to include staff recruitment and induction), trial governance and report writing. You will support trial governance and report writing. You will also lead and manage the administrative staff to ensure the smooth running of the department. You will be responsible for overseeing site monitoring visits at clinical trial centres, co-ordinating trial set-up and close-down procedures, day to day issues, follow-up visits and telephone calls for trials conducted by the Stroke Trials Team.
You will be required to work with a team as well as independently to manage trial documentation and centres and deliver the research goals. Work will be in accordance with ICH-GCP guidelines for the conduct of clinical research trials. Travel within the UK may be required to attend conferences and research sites.

The post is offered on a fixed-term contract for 12 months in the first instance to cover maternity leave. Arrangements for job share may be considered. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week, 7.25 hours per day Monday to Friday); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours.
