Background
The Department of Midwifery & Radiography boasts a thriving team of academics committed to developing highly competent practitioners and future healthcare leaders via our pre-registration and postgraduate programmes.
We work in partnership with our placement providers to provide professional practice support for our students whilst out in placements.
Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced midwifery registrant to combine academic and professional practice activities with learning and teaching and a broader contribution to practice. Your position as a link lecturer will utilise your midwifery experience and will inform practice-based skills to enrich midwifery education.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner wanting to develop an academic career while maintaining strong links with professional practice learning activities. This role is offered as 0.5FTE to facilitate applicants maintaining employment within a clinical role.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high quality support to students and practice staff, tailored to the diverse needs of our learners and partners, and informed by research, scholarship and professional experience. Candidates must be registered with the NMC as Midwife and should possess an honours degree and experience in teaching and supporting student learning.
