Background
City St George’s, University of London seeks to recruit an Assistant Educational Technologist as part of Learning Enhancement and Development (LEaD). LEaD is a multiskilled service that supports, develops, and influences education at the University. We contribute to educational strategy; run a Masters in Academic Practice; work with staff to further develop their pedagogic practices; help implement and develop educational technologies and learning spaces; and support students in need of learning support.
The Assistant Educational Technologist post is a fixed-term position till 30 September 2025 and will work as part of the Digital Education Projects team. The post holder will be involved in supporting strategic City-wide learning spaces projects such as, Inclusive Synchronous Learning Activities (ISLA) – an initiative to support hybrid teaching of on-campus and online students within City’s learning spaces.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a real interest in working on learning spaces projects and recognition of the importance of the physical space for learning. They will be able to demonstrate experience of writing user documentation and reports, delivering training on a one-to-one or group basis and organising meetings and small-scale workshops or events. Excellent communication and IT skills, good organisation skills, good customer service skills and the ability to work as part of a team are also essential requirements.
The role will include the support of the co-ordination of student co-pilots who work in support of hybrid teaching across the Clerkenwell campus.
