About the Role
Queen Mary University of London is seeking suitably qualified candidates to lead the Queen Mary Academy (QMA) for an interim period of 6-9 months.
The Interim Director of the Queen Mary Academy (QMA) will be responsible for leading the QMA through a period of change. The Interim Director will evolve the QMA to ensure it meets the changing needs to address sector developments. The post-holder will ensure QMA’s processes and delivery methods are impactful and cost-effective so that Queen Mary supports educators and researchers in their enhancement work to achieve the desired outcomes on the relevant enabling plans.
The post-holder will play an active role in the Education and Student Experience Leadership Team (ESELT) and on project boards and workstreams as required to deliver relevant enabling plans. These plans currently include (but not limited to) the Education and Student Experience Enabling Plan (ESEEP), the Research and Innovation Enabling Plan, and the Access and Participation Plan (APP).
The post-holder will work closely with the Chief of Staff, the Vice-Principal (Education) and the Vice Principal (Research) and their Deputies as appropriate to evolve the QMA. The post holder will engage with Directorate leads and stakeholders, providing the university with a coherent developmental enhancement programme that ensures the QMA provides high-quality sector leading activities.

You will be a leader who wants to develop their experience in change management and meeting our 2030 strategic objectives. You should have a strong understanding of academic practice development delivery models including online provision. You will guide and support the Academy through a period of change.
