This new full-time post is available from 1 April 2025 on a permanent basis.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
The role
The post of Lecturer in Health and Data Science will contribute to extending the research profile of the Department of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences at Exeter, particularly in areas related or complementary to computational approaches to analysing large and/or complex datasets (e.g. genomics, proteomics, epigenomics or mining medical record data).
The post will include performing excellent research in a field that complements the current world-leading research at the University of Exeter Medical School. The successful candidate will also provide leadership and education in Health Data Science. Specifically, they will lead a module that teaches Python as part of our MSc in Health Data Science. They will also contribute to the development of an online version of the module.
