Research Assistant

Contract Type: Fixed Term - 36 Months

Are you passionate about research and making a difference? We are seeking a proactive and organised Research Assistant to join our dynamic team on the Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews for people with learning disabilities and/or autistic people (CECILIA) study, funded by the NIHR. This study focuses on Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews (C(E)TRs) for people with learning disabilities and/or autistic individuals, aiming to generate evidence of their effectiveness.

You will support the project by recruiting participants, collecting and analysing data, and contributing to publications, while ensuring ethical and governance compliance.

Please note that this role will involve travel to and from participating research sites in the UK.

As a Research Assistant you can expect to be involved in:

• Actively recruiting and supporting participants into the study
• Conducting data collection
• Participating in study related meetings, providing updates and reports on the progress
• Supporting with drafting peer review publications

What will you bring to the role?

• BSc (Hons) in Psychology or related discipline (e.g. social sciences) or equivalent qualification/experience
• Experience of working on funded studies within health and/or social care settings
• Experience with working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in inpatient psychiatric settings or community mental health settings
• Ability to undertake statistical analysis
