Annual Leave: 30 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations, coordination and delivery of technical support and technical support functions within the school of Health & Social Work. The post holder will manage a team of Technical support staff working in the School and will be responsible for ensuring their technical competence in supporting academic, research and student activities. You will also assist the Senior Executive Team in the effective planning and management of resources to maximise their use and ensure the delivery of high-quality student experience.
Skills and experience required
You will have proven experience of effective staff management and the management of technical facilities. You will demonstrate a track record of success in understanding and supporting the facilities and services required for learning, teaching, research, university business and administration requirements. You will demonstrate specialist expertise and experience relevant to the School technical facilities that s/he is responsible for (e.g. Workshops and Laboratories). You will have experience in writing clear and meaningful reports.
Qualifications required
A minimum of a degree in relevant technical subject or equivalent work experience. A membership of a relevant professional body would also be desirable
