Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Small Animal Surgery within UCD School of Veterinary Medicine.
The School of Veterinary Medicine, University College Dublin invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Small Animal Surgery, to commence from September 2025. University College Dublin Veterinary Hospital (UCDVH) is a leading multi-disciplinary, specialist, veterinary referral and teaching hospital located in the thriving city of Dublin in the east of Ireland. Small animal services include orthopaedics and neurosurgery, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia, oncology, diagnostic imaging, and dermatology, as well as in-house rehabilitation and physiotherapy. We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive individual, board-certified or board-eligible in Small Animal Surgery (ECVS or ACVS), who is passionate about delivering clinical and teaching excellence, is an excellent “team player” and has a strong interest in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. This is an exciting opportunity to join a young, progressive, and growing team o f diplomates and residency-trained surgeons. UCDVH has a renowned research portfolio and strong research links with other universities in the US/Canada and Europe. Our very large clinical caseload provides opportunity for ongoing clinical research that is actively encouraged
Salary: 7943 - 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar €62,855 - €99,533 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
