About the Role
This role will be responsible for the post award administration of research grants/contracts for all 3 faculties with an annual turnover in excess of £150 million. This role requires specialised knowledge of the HEI’s research funding sector and will ensure that the financial and contractual management of all awards are performed at the highest level. The post holder will directly line manage two Assistant Managers, with the wider team including four Research Finance Officers and 2 Research Finance Assistants ensuring that sponsor and college policies and procedures are adhered to.
About you
As a senior member of the Research Finance Team, the post-holder will lead a team of eight staff to provide professional services with respect to a range of financial and partnership management, including project and budget set-up, project staff and student appointment authorisation and compliance to funder and organisational terms and conditions.
You will have experience in UK HEI Research Administration, particularly in Post Award Finance. Extensive knowledge of the accounting, reporting and financial compliance for all UK major research funders, as well as EC and US Government
This high profile, proactive, and specialised role will act as a key contact point in order to deliver a superior level of service to both internal and external customers.
