We are looking for an outstanding candidate to manage the acquisitions and procurement of physical and digital resources for the Library Collections Acquisitions Team.
This team is key to Warwick Library's student and academic experience, delivering an efficient and effective service in the purchase of print and digital resources maintaining access to online resources and ensuring that licence terms are maintained.
About You
You will have the opportunity to shape the Library’s collection in innovative ways, ensuring access to high-quality resources for students and staff. You'll also work with a passionate team of professionals and contribute to the development of programmes and services that make a real difference to our communities.
You will be experienced in working in a professional library or acquisitions/procurement role, with experience of managing staff and a proven ability to motivate and lead teams through change.
You will have the ability to interpret purchasing contracts and licence documentation, to negotiate effectively, and be able to handle complexity and competing demands, thinking innovatively and laterally with attention to detail and the ability to analyse and interpret data and assimilate complex information quickly.
You will have excellent communication and influencing skills (both oral and written), and the ability to quickly build strong professional relationships.
