The Department
The Strategic Planning team is a relatively small agile team based in the directorate and is primarily responsible for delivering data insight to drive improvements in business processes and outcomes across the University. The team spends the majority of their time analysing data from across the student lifecycle but they also support the development of University strategies and have been known to deliver innovative projects at scale.
The Role
The main purpose of this role is to produce market research and data insights to support UWL’s course portfolio management & development. The post holder will be the strategic planning lead on activities relating to student recruitment (e.g. analysing the effectiveness of our conversion campaigns), course portfolio development, pricing and competitor/market positioning. Working closely with the Strategic Planning Manager and the analysts in the team, your role will be critical in ensuring that UWL’s course portfolio stays relevant in an ever-changing world.
The Person
The post holder will be the market insight lead in Strategic Planning’s Performance & Analytics team and will be expected to conduct thorough market research on UWL’s audience, existing offering and/or proposed new courses to support UWL’s senior management with course portfolio management and development. You will be a highly analytical individual, with experience working with data and a nous for translating data into actionable insights. You will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
